**Job Summary** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. This vital role combines professional funeral directing with personalized support for grieving families, ensuring every service is handled with dignity, respect, and attention to detail. You will oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, coordinate logistics, and provide bereavement support, creating meaningful experiences during difficult times. Your expertise in physiology, anatomy, and sanitation will ensure the highest standards of care and professionalism are maintained throughout every service. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements from initial consultation to service execution, ensuring all details align with family wishes and legal requirements * Provide compassionate bereavement support to grieving families, guiding them through the funeral planning process with sensitivity and clarity * Manage the preparation of remains, including cosmetology, dissection (if applicable), and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards * Lead event planning for funerals, memorials, and other services, ensuring smooth logistics and respectful execution * Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport caskets or equipment safely and efficiently * Conduct sales activities related to pre\-need arrangements or merchandise while maintaining excellent customer service standards * Ensure compliance with all legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to funeral services * Collaborate with team members to maintain a respectful environment that honors the memory of the deceased **Experience** * Valid license as a Funeral Director in accordance with state or local regulations * Prior experience in funeral directing or related roles demonstrating strong organizational skills and professionalism * Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist in body preparation and dissection procedures when required * Experience providing bereavement support with sensitivity and empathy * Familiarity with event planning, customer service excellence, and sales techniques in a service\-oriented setting * Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards * Background in sanitation practices relevant to mortuary operations is preferred Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care during life's most challenging moments.
