Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer or Intern

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer or Intern to join our team. **Responsibilities**

* Coordinate and plan funeral services, including scheduling, logistics, and event setup to ensure seamless ceremonies.
* Perform embalming procedures with precision, applying cosmetic techniques to restore the deceased’s appearance respectfully.
* Handle heavy lifting and manual handling of bodies safely and in accordance with mortuary science principles and sanitation standards.
* Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and clear communication to grieving families.
* Operate company vehicles for body transportation and funeral service errands, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
* Maintain detailed records of body preparation, embalming processes, and service arrangements using funeral service technology systems.
* Assist with body dissection, anatomy knowledge application, and cosmetology procedures as needed for body restoration.

**Requirements**

* Valid license as a Funeral Director/Embalmer or ability to act as an Intern.
* Knowledge of mortuary science principles, anatomy, physiology, and dissection techniques.
* Experience or familiarity with cremation processes and related regulations.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple funeral arrangements efficiently.
* Excellent client communication skills with a focus on empathetic listening and clear explanations.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care.
* Proficiency in funeral event planning, organization of services, and use of funeral service technology tools.
* Knowledge of sanitation practices, cosmetology for deceased persons, and disinfection protocols.
* Sales experience is a plus for guiding families through memorial product options but not mandatory.
* Maintain a valid driver's license, as transporting decedents to funeral services, gravesides and places of death, etc is a requirement. Applicants must be capable of passing an insurance check to ensure drivability for the company.
* Interns must maintain an ability to learn all aspects of funeral service including but not limited to: meeting families, embalming, transporting decedents, dressing/casketing/cosmetology.
* Applicants must have an ability to tolerate potentially malodorous conditions.
