Maintenance Worker - Cemetery

**Job Summary**
**Mount Olivet Cemetery \& Greenwood Memorial Park**
We offer a regular weekly work schedule and year\-round employment; competitive pay and benefits. On\-the\-job training is provided, and opportunities to learn different skills are available.
Our weekly schedule is Monday\-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We work year\-round, regardless of the weather.

**Responsibilities**
* Burial set\-up and preparation for graveside services and interments
* Open and close graves as necessary; assist in funeral preparations; assist public in locating graves
* Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as trucks, tractors, backhoe and loaders.
* Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, digging, and debris removal using appropriate hand tools and safety procedures.
* Operate company vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials around the cemetery property.
* May assist with Memorial and Marker installation and maintenance
* May assist with Irrigation and maintenance of cemetery grounds when needed
* Other cemetery, groundskeeper, and landscaping duties as needed
**Qualifications**
* Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related fields such as golf course or athletic field maintenance preferred but not required.
* Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment safely.
* Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of outdoor work in various weather conditions.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
* Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving.
