**The Opportunity**
After.com is the internet's cremation company. We're a Series A startup backed by Highpost Capital, Rise of the Rest, Ten13, FJ Labs, RAINE, and Matchstick Ventures — making end\-of\-life planning as simple as buying auto insurance online. We're tackling the $20B\+ funeral industry by saving customers 85%\+ on funeral expenses and putting "Big Funeral" in its place.
This is not an agency gig where you manage one channel in isolation. You'll be hands\-on in our Meta ad account, owning the full creative testing system — from insight to brief to asset to analysis to iteration — working directly with our Chief Revenue Officer to grow the account. **What You Own****Meta Account Performance** You are the single accountable owner of Meta advertising performance and KPIs, plus the Google Performance Max creative pipeline. Your KPIs: Overall Revenue Growth, ROAS, and Cost per Lead. You own account structure (consolidated CBO for Champions, ABO for Challengers), budget allocation, bid strategy, and daily performance monitoring. You'll be transitioning management from our current agency to in\-house execution — you need to be comfortable inheriting an account, auditing it, and making it yours within the first two weeks.**Creative Strategy and Production** You own the creative testing cadence. Target: 10\+ new assets per week across UGC video, statics, and carousels. You'll write copy, write creative briefs for production contractors, and manage the Champions vs. Challengers testing framework. Champions (top 3–10 ads) get 70–80% of spend. Challengers get 20–30% in a separate ABO campaign with a 7\-day no\-touch policy. Every asset must be tagged with its Customer Persona using our naming convention system. You'll analyze performance weekly and present what's working, what's not, and what you're testing next.**Customer Insight Translation** The best Meta creative at After.com comes from our customers' own words. You'll mine TrustPilot reviews, sales call transcripts, Meta comments, and submission data to find the emotional language and specific moments that drive conversions — and turn them into ads that stop the scroll.**Team Building** Within your first 30 days, you'll identify whether the production bottleneck is video, statics, or both, and recommend the next hires. You'll write their briefs, manage their output, and own the quality of everything that goes into the ad account. **Requirements****Meta Ads Management** — 3\+ years managing $50K\+/month Meta accounts. Fluent in different account structures and value\-based optimization.**Sharp Copywriting** — You write direct response copy that converts. You can write a headline, body, CTA, and full creative brief in the same sitting.**Creative Storytelling \& Testing** — You've built and run a structured testing system (Champions vs. Challengers or equivalent). You know how to isolate variables, run clean tests, and kill losers fast.**Customer Insights \& Curiosity** — You know how to read a call transcript or review and pull out the exact language that becomes a winning ad. Voice of customer is your creative fuel, not an afterthought.**Analytics and Reporting** — You can pull data from Meta, build a simple performance dashboard, and present a clear weekly read on what's working and what needs to change.**Urgency \& Self Direction** — You don't wait to be told what to test. You have a backlog of hypotheses, prioritize ruthlessly, flag problems early, and bring solutions. **Strong Pluses**
Experience advertising to adults 55\+ (our median customer age is 69\.4\). Familiarity with Meta's Andromeda delivery engine and GEM generative ads model. Experience managing UGC creator relationships and whitelisted influencer campaigns. Comfort with AI tools (we use Claude extensively). Prior work in death care, insurance, or senior services. Experience with Pipedrive, Aircall, or similar CRM/sales tools. **Compensation \& Structure**
Contract \| 20–30 hrs/week \| Remote \| $25–$50/hr DOE
90\-day initial engagement with expectation to extend for high performers. Open to discussing performance\-based bonuses tied to cost per sale improvement. US time zones required with Mountain Time overlap for key syncs.
