**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Part\-time Ministry Assistant, Member Care to join our dedicated team. This vital role focuses on planning funerals and memorial services at FPC. Serve as the information hub for member visitation. Provide administrative support for Board of Deacons, Member Care Committee, women's ministries, pastoral care ministries. Coordinate hospital visits as well as visitation to homebound members. Maintain FPC membership database and produce reports as needed. **Duties**
* Provide bereavement support and spiritual counseling to members experiencing loss or hardship
* Coordinate funerals and memorial services. Work with families, pastors, music staff, and business office to plan each service. Liaison with funeral home staff, florist and external caterers as needed. Also coordinate with the Bereavement greeting team, Deacons and/or Sunday School classes to schedule greeters and reception hosts.
* Serve as Information Hub for visitation to members in the hospital or rehab facilities, home bound members, and members living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Liaison between pastors and the congregation when triaging pastoral care concerns. Also work with the Parish Visitor, Deacons, Elders, and other lay leaders who are reaching out to members on the visitation list.
* Maintain the FPC database (Realm) and maintain membership email lists in Constant Contact. Work with Clerk of the Session and other churches to maintain updated membership roll. Conduct data searches and build reports upon request. Serve as a super user that assists and tarins others.
* Coordinate Home Communion with Deacons, Session, Pastors, and Homebound members. Maintain the FPC homebound list.
* Provide administrative support for Board of Deacons; Member Care Committee, Hospital Chaplain Ministry, GriefShare, Lunch \& Learn, First Ladies Council, Presbyterian Women, Sisterhood of Widows, and other care ministries.
**Experience**
* Prior experience in ministry support roles is required.
* 2\-3 years' experience working with care giving ministries and/or funeral coordination is required.
* High School Diploma required, Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
* Computer literacy in desktop applications (i.e. Word, Excel) and experience with Realm or other large database programs preferred.
* Ability to set priorities and work independently; work with members and funeral homes in a professional and discreet fashion.
* Ability to work well with others, hold confidences and communicate effectively.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bible, the reformed tradition, and the ability to relate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others. Comfortable praying with others.

Pay: $18\.28 \- $18\.49 per hour
