Your work will help uphold the highest standards of care and respect for families and loved ones. **Duties** * Safely operate a shuttle van to transport deceased individuals between facilities, funeral homes, and other designated locations. * Ensure proper handling and secure loading/unloading of bodies, adhering to all safety and health regulations. * Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of assigned vehicles to guarantee optimal performance and hygiene standards. * Communicate effectively with funeral home staff, medical personnel, and families to coordinate transportation schedules smoothly. * Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload caskets or related equipment, always following proper safety protocols. * Keep accurate logs of transportation activities, vehicle inspections, and mileage records for compliance purposes. * Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by providing compassionate support to families during difficult times. **Experience** * Experience is not needed. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Familiarity with vehicle maintenance routines to identify issues early and ensure safety on the road. * Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients in sensitive situations. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining professionalism at all times. * Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
