Mortuary Removal Technician

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your driving expertise while contributing to a fast\-paced, customer\-focused environment. **Responsibilities** * Safely operate various vehicles including delivery vans and mini\-vans to transport decedents securely from one location to another * Assist with the loading and unloading of decedents, utilizing proper lifting techniques to load and maneuver cots * Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during pickups and drop\-offs * Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations * Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or other navigation tools, ensuring timely deliveries or removals * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for accountability and reporting purposes * Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and optimize daily routes for maximum efficiency **Requirements** * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in cargo van driving, or mini\-van driving is highly preferred * Proven experience as a driver * Dress professionally for home removals and be able to answer family's questions * Be on call during scheduled work hours and be able to appear within 15 minutes; proximity to office preferred * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes * Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members * Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and safety protocols for commercial vehicles * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and routes confidently * Previous experience as a mortuary removal technician Embark on a rewarding career where your driving and loading skills make a difference!
