Mortuary Removal Technician (On-Call/Nights & Weekends)

About the Role As an Removal Tech, you’ll provide dignified, professional transportation of human remains between hospitals, post\-acute facilities, funeral homes/crematories, coroner/medical examiner offices, and private residences. You’ll represent MSS with compassion, precision, and respect while navigating time\-sensitive assignments and variable conditions. What You’ll Do * Safely load, transport, and deliver human remains using company vehicles (van, hearse/coach, or transit van). * Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, barriers, and timing to keep clients informed. * Provide professional, courteous service to families, facility staff, and funeral professionals; direct inquiries appropriately. * Complete required paperwork accurately and on time; maintain logs/records in company systems. * Keep vehicles clean, stocked, and in safe working order; report maintenance needs promptly. * Respond to dispatch calls quickly (answer within 2 minutes; en route within 20 minutes). * Support related operations as needed (e.g., funeral attendant coverage, hearse driving). * Follow company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws; attend required trainings/certifications. Schedule * On\-call, variable hours with regular night and weekend availability required. * Work may involve continuous driving and time\-sensitive responses.
