**Job Title: Mortuary Technician**

**Overview**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mortuary Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the respectful transfer of our community’s loved ones from various locations, including nursing homes, hospitals, residences, and other facilities to their respective funeral homes. This position requires being on an on\-call basis, meaning you must be available to respond promptly whenever assistance is needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and empathy.

**Responsibilities**

* Transfer loved ones from various locations such as nursing homes, hospitals, residences (houses, apartments, mobile homes, etc.), and other facilities to their respective funeral homes.
* Be available on an on\-call basis, responding promptly when called upon.
* Handle loved ones with dignity and respect during the transfer process.
* Maintain safety standards, including proper lifting techniques, and exercise strength and care, especially when navigating strategic lifts through homes.
* Complete and accurately cross\-reference documentation related to each transfer to ensure trust and accuracy.
* Confirm details thoroughly to ensure the correct handling and transfer of loved ones.

**Qualifications**

* Ability to work on an on\-call schedule, responding promptly to requests.
* Physical strength and ability to lift and carry individuals safely.
* Compassionate attitude with respect for the families and loved ones involved.
* Good communication and attention to detail, particularly with documentation.
* Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and discreetly.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $22\.50 \- $37\.50 per hour
