Must Live In Pasco County!!** Bay to Bay Mortuary Transport, LLC is seeking a compassionate, responsible, and professional individual to join our team as a Mortuary Transport Specialist. This role is responsible for the safe and respectful transfer of deceased individuals from various facilities, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company protocols, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and dignity. **Key Responsibilities** **Transfers** * Safely operate company\-owned vehicles to perform “first call” transfers of deceased individuals. * Ensure compliance with local/state laws and company policies, including chain\-of\-custody procedures and proper documentation. * Cooperate and communicate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facilities. * Exercise sensitivity and discretion when interacting with grieving families during home transfers. * Properly handle and remove soiled garments or bedding when applicable. * Enter detailed transfer information into proprietary software. **Transport Support** * Deliver and assist with transporting caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes. * Safely load and unload caskets and related equipment. * Pickup deceased from ALF's, hospitals, and morgue's and transport to end site. **Vehicle Maintenance** * Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles, including washing and vacuuming. * Refuel vehicles as needed and follow safety/expenditure protocols. * Stock vehicles with required supplies (PPE, cleaning products, etc.). * Report any vehicle issues and deliver vehicles for maintenance or inspection as required. **Minimum Requirements** **Education** * High School Diploma or equivalent **Licenses** * Valid state\-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record **Experience** * Minimum of 1 year of professional driving or courier experience * Prior customer interaction experience preferred **Skills \& Abilities** * Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays * Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; push/pull up to 200 lbs * Comfort driving in heavy traffic, hazardous weather, and high\-pressure environments * Basic proficiency with computers and mobile applications * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills **Work Conditions** **Environment** * Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions * Adherence to company dress code and professional appearance at all times, this includes a a button up shirt and a tie for males, closed toe shoes, and dress pants. **Physical Demands** * Sitting for long periods (up to 6 hours/day) * Occassional stair climbing * Moving gurney's frequently * **Hours** * 24 hour shifts, with two consecutive days off. On call driver for 24 hour periods.
