Then come and be a part of a tradition that is not only thousands of years old, but sacred, honorable, and helps by serving your community in a time of loss**! **Position**: Mortuary Transport Driver (On\-Call) **Responsibilities:** * Safely and respectfully transport deceased individuals to and from designated locations, ensuring timeliness and professionalism. * Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company protocols, prioritizing safety at all times. * Conduct house calls and removals with care, compassion, and sensitivity, especially when family members are present. * Follow a professional dress code, wearing a black suit and white latex gloves at all times when removing and delivering. * Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable vehicle, ensuring it is ready for each transport. * Perform thorough pre\-trip and post\-trip inspections to identify any mechanical or safety issues. * Report mechanical problems, accidents, or incidents immediately to the appropriate authorities. * Follow pre\-determined routes and schedules, adapting as necessary to ensure smooth and timely service. * Provide exceptional service to funeral homes, clients, and grieving families, demonstrating empathy and respect in all interactions. **Skills:** * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * In\-depth knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of handling delicate situations with professionalism and compassion. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including the deceased, with care and precision. * Exceptional customer service abilities, especially in sensitive and emotionally charged environments. * Capacity to remain calm, composed, and respectful in challenging or emotional situations. **Additional Information:** This job description provides an overview of the key responsibilities and skills required for the role.
