Mortuary Transporter
Job Description
**Position: Mortuary Transporter**

Employment Type: Full\-Time, Non\-exempt
Description: Responds to first calls, assists funeral directors during scheduled services to ensure customer satisfaction
Location: Beaumont
Hourly Pay Range: $15\.00 – $17\.00
**Schedule Expectations**
* Work in shifts of 10 days on, 4 days off
* Works some national holidays
* Normal hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm with 1 hour break, when possible
* Work outside in extreme weather conditions including high and low temperatures and rain
* Some travel for services (day trips in company vehicle)
* On\-call minimum of 6 nights per month
**Qualifications**
* Communicates professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing
* Has a reputation for providing excellent service to clients an co\-workers
* Good at multitasking
* Ability to prioritize job demands
* Good problem solving skills
* Work independently and as a team member
* Clear and legible handwriting
* Good knowledge of English Grammar
* Good working knowledge of computers and technology (Microsoft Office, email, mobile devices)
* Must be able to stand for long periods of time
* Must be able to sit for extended periods
* Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull at least 60lbs
* Must be able to bend at the waist and knees
**Education/Licensing Requirement**
* Valid Texas Driver License

**Responsibilities**
* Respond to first calls
* Assist with dressing/casketing
* Transport decedent from care center to appropriate location
* Assist on funeral services and gatherings
