Mortuary Transporter
Job Description
**Responsibilities:**
\- Safely and efficiently transport decedent to their destination using a company\-provided vehicle.
\- Process case according to individual mortuary procedures.
\- Report to case location in a timely manner.
\- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
\- Communicate effectively with facility staff and families of the deceased to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
\- Handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain accurate records.
\- Perform pre\-trip and post\-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order
\- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle's interior and exterior.
**Skills:**
\- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
\- Experienced drivers preferred
\- Ability to drive safely and confidently in various weather conditions and traffic situations
\- Strong communication skills to interact with mortuary staff and families of the deceased in a professional and friendly manner
\- Ability to lift heavy weight.
\- Knowledge of maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing basic maintenance tasks is desirable
