IFP focuses on empowering local operators, providing the people, practices, and infrastructure that let them focus on what matters most: honoring lives and comforting families. **Role Overview:** The Office Manager of our Alamosa, Colorado funeral home is a vital part of the day\-to\-day operation, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes while showing up with genuine care for every family we serve. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization and detail, communicates with warmth and professionalism, and finds meaning in supporting others through life's most difficult moments. The Office Manager partners closely with our licensed staff and IFP's support team to ensure administrative, financial, and family\-facing functions are handled with excellence. Depending on applicable licensing and regulatory requirements, this role may also assist with arrangement meetings and family support. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage day\-to\-day office operations, including scheduling customers, answering phones, general correspondence, and vendor coordination * Serve as a warm and professional first point of contact for families, visitors, and community members * Assist families through the arrangement and aftercare process as permitted by Colorado regulations and in support of licensed staff * Maintain accurate records, including death certificates, permits, and required documentation, in compliance with state and local requirements * Process invoices, receipts, and financial records; coordinate with IFP's Finance team on billing and collections * Support licensed funeral directors with administrative needs related to services, cremations, and internments * Manage inventory of supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed * Ensure the facility and reception areas are clean, welcoming, and ready to receive families at all times * Partner with IFP's support team on reporting, compliance, and operational standards * Provide general administrative support to the location's licensed leadership team **Qualifications:** * 2\+ years of administrative, office management, or customer service experience; experience in a funeral home, healthcare, or other care\-based setting is a plus * Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail * Compassionate, professional demeanor with the ability to communicate sensitively with grieving families * Comfort with basic financial tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, and recordkeeping * Proficiency with standard office software; experience with funeral home management software is a plus * Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member * Funeral director licensure or enrollment in a mortuary science program is welcomed but not required **Why IFP?** Our core vision is to find, achieve, and enjoy a better way.
