Operations and Logistics Assistant

**Job Title: Operations and Logistics Assistant – Richardson Funeral Home** **Job Summary** The operations and logistics assistant (OLA) supports the day\-to\-day functions of the funeral home by assisting with operational tasks, service coordination and fulfilment, and facility preparation. This role is essential in ensuring services run smoothly while maintaining a compassionate and respectful environment for grieving families. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist with facilitating funeral and memorial services, visitations, and burials * Prepare service rooms, chapels, and reception areas before and after services * Greet and assist families and visitors with professionalism and empathy * Support funeral directors with proper documentation of tasks * Coordinate and facilitate transportation services and logistics for decedents, decedent related materials, etc. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including vehicles and equipment * Assist with inventory management (caskets, urns, supplies, etc.) * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards * Provide general support during services as needed (e.g., ushering, distributing materials) **Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous experience in hospitality, manual labor intensive, nursing\-related or other service roles is a plus * Strong organizational and multitasking skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and compassion * Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling software) is a plus * Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record may be required **Work Environment \& Requirements** * Ability to lift and carry more than 50 lbs * Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on\-call shifts as needed * Comfortable working in emotionally sensitive environments * Professional appearance and demeanor **required at all times** **Key Competencies** * Empathy and emotional intelligence * Attention to detail * Reliability and punctuality * Team collaboration * Adaptability in a fast\-paced, service\-oriented environment **Compensation \& Benefits** ***(Customize as needed)*** * Daily wage based on experience * Flexible schedule, parent leave, and assistance opportunities Opportunities for growth within the funeral services field Pay: $85\.00 \- $100\.00 per day Benefits: * Employee assistance program * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Parental leave Work Location: In person
