Job Description
Description: Serve as liaison between customers and directors
Supervisor: Director of Funeral Operations, Administrative Supervisor
**Schedule Expectations**
* Every other Saturday and Sunday
* Usual work hours 8:00 a.m.\- 5:00 p.m. with 1 hour unpaid lunch, when possible
* Be available to work some national holidays
**Performance Expectations**
* Makes eye contact and greet clients sincerely
* Treats clients and coworkers with courtesy and respect
* Maintains clean workspace
* Takes direction from Supervisors
* Responds positively to requests for assistance from co\-workers, supervisors and clients
* Notices when help is needed in all areas of the company
* Takes initiative to help any area of the company if possible, or lets Supervisor know where help is needed
* Able to sit for extended periods of time
**Qualifications**
* Has experience in customer service
* Communicates professionally in person and on the phone
* Has a reputation for giving great service to clients and co\-workers
* Has legible handwriting
* Can handle multiple tasks at one time
* Has good problem solving skills
* Is able to work independently and as a team member
**Primary Responsibilities**
* Stand to greet customers upon entering the building
* Identify the customers’ needs
* Direct customer to desired location or requested facilities
* Answer incoming calls before the third ring
* Identify callers’ needs
* Direct caller to appropriate department or employee
* Accurately document callers’ contact information and purpose
* Deliver messages to appropriate department or employee, via written message or phone call
* Accurately interpret Broussard’s service schedule to callers
**Secondary Responsibilities**
* Assist office staff with special tasks: name plates, newspaper notices, addressing outgoing mail, photos
* Record pallbearers’ names and addresses
* Place boutonnieres on pallbearers
* Sort incoming mail
* Coordinate outgoing mail/packages

* Excellent listening skills
* Able to work successfully with minimal supervision
* Self motivated, especially under pressure
* Ability to serve diverse clientele
* Ability to discreetly handle sensitive information

* Dress in a business professional attire
Job Type: Part\-time
Pay: $15\.00 per hour
