Patient Transporter
Job Description
**Overview**
**Job Summary**
Provides courteous, safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
**Responsibilities**
* Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
* Maintains a safe and germ free environment for all customers.
* Documents all patient transports on appropriate departmental log.
* Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
* Completes assigned goals.
**Specifications**
**Experience**
**Preferred/Desired**
* 6 months hospital or customer service experience.
**Education**
**Minimum Required**
* Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
**Preferred/Desired**
* HS diploma/GED or higher
