**Crematory / Pet Aftercare Assistant**

**A Greener Place Pet Cremation – Mesa, Arizona**

A Greener Place Pet Cremation is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking individual to join our team as a **Crematory / Pet Aftercare Assistant**.

This position involves working directly with deceased pets and assisting with the daily operations of our pet aftercare facility. The right candidate must be comfortable working in this environment while treating every pet with dignity, care, and respect.

**Responsibilities**

* Assist with receiving, identifying, and tracking pets throughout the aftercare process
* Prepare pets for Aquamation and assist with operations
* Carefully handle and process cremated/aquamated remains
* Clean and maintain processing equipment and work areas
* Prepare urns, keepsakes, paw prints, and other memorial items
* Package completed remains for return to veterinary clinics and pet families
* Assist with loading, unloading, lifting, and moving pets of various sizes
* Maintain accurate identification and documentation throughout the entire process
* Help keep the facility clean, organized, and sanitary
* Assist with pickups, deliveries, or other facility duties as needed

**What We Are Looking For**

* Comfortable working around deceased animals
* Compassionate and respectful toward pets and their families
* Able to follow procedures carefully and consistently
* Comfortable performing physical and sometimes messy work
* Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
* Willing to clean equipment and maintain a sanitary work environment
* Able to lift approximately **60 lbs or more** and assist with heavier pets using proper equipment or team lifting
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a must

Experience working in veterinary medicine, animal care, pet cremation, crematory operations, grooming, kennels, shelters, or similar environments is helpful but **not required**. We are willing to train the right person.

**About the Position**

This is a unique position for someone who enjoys working with animals but is comfortable working behind the scenes in pet aftercare. Our work requires both physical ability and attention to detail. Proper identification and respectful handling of every pet are extremely important.

A Greener Place uses **individual aquamation**, and every pet entrusted to our care is handled individually and respectfully throughout the process.

**Position:** Crematory / Pet Aftercare Assistant

**Location:** Mesa, Arizona

**Schedule:** Part time, approximately 4-5 days a week

**Pay:** $19-$22 / hourly
