Pet Crematory Operator

Faithful Companions is a family owned pet crematory in Southern Indiana that has been operating since 2003\. We perform pet cremations for Kentuckiana area. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual that can join our team and help us continue to serve our families. This position will require the proper handling of deceased pet remains while performing a wide variety of job duties in an industrial type environment. **Responsibilities Include:** · Performing pet removals from veterinarian offices, animal hospitals, and residences · Lifting during removals and transfers of a deceased animals · Exposure to extreme cold/hot temperatures, loud noise, and dust in an industrial type building · Being comfortable cremating and processing pet cremains · Ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate when receiving and returning remains · Delivery of cremated cremains to the appropriate facility or home · Ability to maintain cleanliness of the crematorium, equipment, and facilities · Promoting a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing precautions necessary · Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced environment **Requirements**: · Valid state\-issued driver’s license · Ability to lift 50lbs\-100lbs safely · Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity · Ability to fill out paperwork correctly and efficiently · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Ability to take phone calls and complete pet cremation arrangements with clients over the phone and in person · Must have quality work with animal clay paw prints and ink prints **Schedule:** * Monday \- Wednesday \- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM * Saturday \- Sunday \- 10:00 AM \- 2:00 PM * Weekend overtime work may be available Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $16\.00 \- $18\.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Employee discount * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Retirement plan Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person
