Physician Hospice Palliative Care

**Job Summary And Responsibilities**
Virgina Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Hospice Physician for PRN to join our dedicated team at Franciscan Hospice. As a Hospice Physician, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive palliative care to patients facing terminal illnesses.


To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, BC/BE, and compassionate Hospice and Pallitiative Medicine Physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegiate and supportive environment.

* Provide full-spectrum primary care, including preventive care, acute illness treatment, and management of chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) for patients of all ages
* Deliver wellness examinations, health screenings, and immunizations to support disease prevention
* Counsel patients on diet, lifestyle choices, and disease management
* Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging
* Offer guidance, counseling, and education on wellness, disease management, and medication adherence to patients and their families
* Act as the first point of contact and coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and social workers
* Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records, utilizing EPIC appropriately
* Provide and document direct treatment for patients, including ordering medications, referrals, and following up on specialist consultations

**Required**
**Job Requirements**

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice or Pallitive Medicine
* Active, unrestricted license in the state of Washington
* Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for the specific practice
* Strong clinical diagnostic skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all ages of patients
