Job Description
**Job Overview**
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Preneed Funeral Sales Manager to lead our pre\-need sales initiatives, focusing on helping families plan their funeral arrangements in advance. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to manage a dedicated sales team, develop new business relationships, build a strong team of devoted agents, and deliver compassionate service to clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for business development, and a proven track record in sales, particularly in B2B or technical sales environments.
**Responsibilities**
* Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve pre\-need sales targets through coaching, training, and performance management.
* Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market reach within assigned territories.
* Cultivate strong relationships with funeral homes, cemeteries, and community organizations to generate new leads and foster long\-term partnerships.
* Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate clients on pre\-need funeral options, emphasizing benefits and value propositions.
* Utilize CRM software for lead tracking, recruiting agents, customer follow\-up, and territory management to optimize sales efficiency.
* Engage in outside sales activities including cold calling, networking events, and direct outreach to identify potential clients.
* Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
* Oversee inside sales efforts by supporting team members with product knowledge, technical information, and customer inquiries.
* Manage account portfolios by providing ongoing support, upselling additional services, and ensuring client satisfaction.
**Skills**
* Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales with a focus on management or business development roles.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team toward achieving goals.
* Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective communication abilities for product demos and client interactions.
* Proficiency in CRM software for lead generation, recruiting and territory management.
* Solid understanding of marketing principles and strategies to enhance outreach efforts.
* Skilled in cold calling, direct sales approaches, and territory management techniques.
* Customer service\-oriented mindset with a focus on building trustful relationships.
* Experience in retail or inside sales environments is advantageous but not required.
