Removal Technician

**Job Overview** As a Removal Technician, you will be making a difference in your local community. This position requires someone who is dedicated, punctual, and has a knack for details. Must have good mannerisms and communication skills with others. You will be working through the directions of funeral directors and alongside other removal technicians. The job will require the transportation of loved ones from places of passing to the funeral home. This position is flexible and you will have the ability to work as much as desired. **What you’ll do** * Safely operate company vehicles. * Carefully and respectfully transfer loved ones from place of passing to the funeral home. * Provide firsthand contact with family members and act as a liaison for the funeral home between the funeral director and family members during transportation. * Properly placed deceased on provided transfer equipment and preparation room equipment upon completion of each transfer. * Assist in lifting decedents as required, demonstrating physical strength and the ability to lift greater than 50lbs at times. * Communicate effectively with fellow removal technicians, funeral directors, family members of the deceased, law enforcement, hospice nurses, and staff at facilities such as a hospital or nursing home. * Maintain accurate records of property received, details the on call director should note, and other important information. **Skills** * Excellent driving skills with a clean record. * Strong communication skills to interact positively and respectfully with family members and team members. * Being patient with grieving family members, colleagues, law enforcement and facility members. * Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. * Respectful and positive attitude. * Energetic attitude with a passion for providing top\-notch service. * Attention to detail. **Why you’ll love it here** We are dedicated to fostering an environment where our team members can thrive both professionally and personally.
