Removal Technician / Mortuary Transport (On-Call)

Overview We are seeking a dependable and professional Removal Technician to join our funeral home team. This role is responsible for the respectful and timely transfer of deceased individuals from homes, hospitals, and other locations to our facility. This is an on\-call position requiring availability during nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities * Respond to first\-call removal requests promptly * Transfer decedents with care and dignity * Communicate professionally with families, medical staff, and first responders * Maintain cleanliness and readiness of company vehicles and equipment * Follow all safety and procedural guidelines Requirements * Valid driver’s license with clean driving record * Ability to lift 100–200 lbs with assistance * Professional appearance and demeanor * Strong reliability and punctuality (critical) * Comfortable working nights, weekends, and on\-call shifts * Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations Preferred (not required) * Experience in funeral service, healthcare, EMS, or transport * Background in customer service or high\-stress environments Compensation * $60\-$180 per removal Training is provided.
