RN-DPCS- Director of Patient Care Services- Shores Hospice- Full Time

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) to lead our hospice care team with enthusiasm and expertise. This full-time, salaried leadership role is vital in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care, fostering a collaborative team environment, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. **Responsibilities**

* Provide strategic oversight and clinical leadership to the hospice care team, ensuring high standards of patient care and staff performance.
* Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs, emphasizing comfort, dignity, and respect.
* Supervise nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes professional growth and accountability.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hospice services, Medicare requirements, long-term care regulations, and HIPAA privacy standards.
* Oversee documentation review processes including medical records, clinical notes, and regulatory reports to maintain accuracy and completeness within EMR/EHR systems.
* Manage staffing schedules across shifts to ensure adequate coverage while promoting efficient resource utilization.
* Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care efforts.

**Qualifications**

* Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospice care environments with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
* Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in long-term care or acute care settings.
* Extensive knowledge of resident’s rights, MDS (Minimum Data Set), medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes.
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing medical records and clinical documentation efficiently.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while managing shift operations in fast-paced environments.
* Knowledge of Medicare regulations, long-term care regulations, regulatory compliance standards, and hospice-specific guidelines.
* Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for patient advocacy and quality improvement initiatives.
* RN ASN but BSN preferred

Pay: $95,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
