Route Driver

**Route Driver \- FAMILY PET MORTUARY** The Route Driver is a key member of the Family Pet Mortuary team whose duties are a vital part of the day to day operations. As a route driver, you will have a direct impact on the success of our relationships with pet parents and Veterinarian partner hospitals. Professionalism and respectfulness are essential characteristics of any team member that assumes this role at Family Pet Mortuary. **Job Duties** Drive specific routes to various veterinary partner hospitals to pick up deceased pets Do in\-home pick ups as scheduled by site manager Work with families who are dealing with the loss of their pet. Maintain a clean vehicle Fill out reports Ensure that all hospitals have ample supply of necessary materials Ensure all vehicles are cleaned, restocked, and fueled as needed Minimum 1 year in a customer service experience Prepare supplies for routes Helping at shop processing and packaging pets remains **Skills/Requirements** High school diploma or GED Must be over the age of 21 Possession of valid California driver’s license Must have a clean driving record: 3 years preferred Must follow and adhere to all the laws of the road Minimum 1 year in a customer service experience Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift 55\+ and bend, twist as needed throughout the workday. Requires accurate, detailed and thorough record keeping abilities. Self\-motivated with excellent time management, organizational and detailed oriented skills. A high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of the deceased is required. Be teachable and have a team player attitude Adhere to company uniform \& professional standards at all times. Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
