Seeking FT (4 days/wk) Veterinary Hospice Care Coordinator

Veterinary hospice medicine is such an important area, and one in which you can make a tremendous difference for the clients and patients alike. Veterinary hospice and in\-home euthanasia is one of the most vulnerable times a family will go through with their furry family member, and it is when your empathetic support can make such a wonderful difference to them. **A Gentle Goodbye Veterinary Hospice** is a small independently\-owned company that has been serving the Chicagoland area since 2012, and is looking for the right person to join us and help us grow. We offer hospice and geriatric consultations, telehealth quality of life consultations, in\-home euthanasia, and aqua\-cremation (eco\-friendly, water\-based cremation). We are looking to add a compassionate and dynamic Care Coordinator to our small team, and this could be you! **The ideal candidate will:** * be passionate about this incredibly rewarding field * be very detail\-oriented **Must be:** * Self\-motivated * Excel at working in an environment without constant direct supervision **Daily tasks and responsibilities** (not inclusive) * Take into our care deceased pets with care and dignity * Return urns containing pets' ashes back to their families * Perform office tasks to keep everything running smoothly * Provide heartwarming follow up contact to the families we help **Set schedule \- 4 days/wk (38 hrs/wk)** * The schedule can have some flexibility, but will include Sundays and Mondays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. **Pay rate: $20/hr** **Additional benefits if full\-time** * Health insurance available (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois) * Dental, vision, and life insurance * 401(k) eligibility after 6 months as part of our team, 6% matching * PTO and paid holidays * Yearly retention bonuses. * Set schedule of 4 days/week (38 hours per week) * Supportive work environment with a team that cares!
