Site Manager - National Cemetery Grounds Maintenance

Vet-Blue LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is hiring an on-site Site Manager for our grounds maintenance contract at Crown Hill National Cemetery, a VA national cemetery in Indianapolis. You will lead a small crew, plan and inspect the daily work, support interments and Memorial Day and Veterans Day events, and serve as the main on-site contact for the VA. This is a working leadership role: you'll be hands-on with mowing, trimming, pruning, bed work, headstone care, and snow removal.

**What you'll do**

* Direct daily grounds work at the Historic Cemetery and the Annex
* Keep the crew's schedule around funeral services
* Complete weekly QC and progress reports and the daily niche-cover report
* Approve crew time
* Enforce safety rules
* Coordinate subcontractors (turf treatments, irrigation, arborist)

**Requirements**

* 4+ years of commercial grounds maintenance experience, including supervising a crew
* Fluent spoken and written English
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to pass a background check and get a VA contractor badge
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift 50 lbs

**Pluses**

* Cemetery or government grounds experience
* ISA Certified Arborist
* Indiana pesticide license
* OSHA 10/30
* Snow management experience

**Pay and benefits**

* 11 paid holidays
* Paid sick leave (1 hour per 30 hours worked)
* Paid vacation after 1 year
* Overtime at 1.5x

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, plus some weekends and holidays, and on call for snow.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
