This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community through compassionate service and reliable transportation. **Responsibilities** * Safely operate specialized vehicles to transport deceased individuals between funeral homes, coroner offices, and other designated locations * Ensure proper handling, securing, and documentation of all transported items with the utmost respect and care * Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to load and unload caskets or other related equipment, adhering to safety protocols * Coordinate with funeral directors, coroners, and other staff to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently * Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and reliability at all times * Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and discretion during interactions with families and staff * Support event planning activities related to funeral services or memorial events as needed **Qualifications** * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required * Provide clean MVR \& Background check * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in accordance with safety standards * Experience in funeral directing or bereavement support is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and scheduling tasks * Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and external partners * Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, professionalism, and discretion * Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures This role is essential in providing respectful transportation services that honor the dignity of those we serve.
