### **Assignment Overview**
* Shift: Days, 3x12hrs
* Hours: 36 hrs/wk
* Start Date: Sep 28, 2026
* Length: 13 weeks
* Openings: 1
### **Description**
American Traveler is hiring a Hospice RN with at least 1 year of hospice experience and an active AZ or compact RN license to provide care across home, inpatient, and GIP settings.
### **Details**
* Hospice unit providing care in home, Hospice House, and General Inpatient (GIP) settings
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* Day shift schedule with 12\-hour shifts (8:00am\-8:30pm)
* Additional weekday 12\-hour shifts required to meet 36\-44 hours per week
* On\-call rotation required, shared between two staff members (main and backup)
* Weekend coverage required for on\-call visits and daily GIP visits
* Floating required across home, Hospice House, and GIP settings within scope
* Open to block scheduling arrangements
### **Requirements**
* Active AZ state or compact RN license required
* Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record required
* BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
* Level One Fingerprint Clearance card through DPS AZ required
* AZ Food Handlers Certification required
* Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience required
* Meditech charting experience highly preferred
* Experience with medication administration and pain management required
* Knowledge of symptom assessment and end\-of\-life care required
* Experience with ethical and legal issues in hospice care preferred
### **Additional Information**
* Provide hospice nursing care including pain management, symptom assessment, and end\-of\-life support
* Perform death pronouncement and postmortem care as needed
* Provide bereavement planning and support for patients and families
* Deliver culturally sensitive and spiritually aware end\-of\-life care
* Support patient and family education throughout the care process
* Holiday coverage is required
* RTO should be kept to a minimum at time of consideration
* Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
* Travel pairs are accepted
* First\-time travelers are welcome to apply
