Paid employment is provided, with a focus on professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. **Duties** * Safely load, transport, and deliver cremated remains from funeral homes or family residences to the designated facility with care and respect * Assist with scheduling and coordinating pickup appointments to ensure timely service delivery * Communicate effectively with funeral directors, families, and team members to confirm pickup details and address any special requests or concerns * Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and related documentation in accordance with company policies * Support with light cleaning and maintenance of transport vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met * Provide empathetic support to families when necessary, demonstrating compassion during sensitive interactions * Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques for heavy loads and secure handling of remains **Skills** * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday * Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with families, funeral directors, and team members * Knowledge of bereavement support principles to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding * Experience or familiarity with funeral directing or event planning is a plus for coordinating pickups smoothly * Sales skills are beneficial for explaining services or additional offerings to clients when appropriate * Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, documentation, and vehicle maintenance effectively * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles is preferred This role offers a meaningful opportunity to serve our community during difficult times while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
