Family Services Coordinator

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Services Coordinator to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of grieving families. Solas Natural Burial is Wisconsin’s leading innovator in Green Burial. Officially certified by the Green Burial Council, we offer natural burial plots and burials at our 20 acre preserve in Middleton. This role handles sales, community outreach, burial planning, and managing the preserve and all activities that occur.

**The role:**

* **Customer Interaction**
* Interacting with customers throughout the sales process to ensure a positive experience.
* Meeting with prospective buyers at Solas to give tours.
* Following up with prospects, meeting with families, walking them through sales paperwork, and closing the sale.
* Carefully tracking leases, organizing files for each sale, and maintaining accurate records.
* Handling confidential and sensitive information about families, burials and other related items.
* **Community Outreach**
* Giving presentations at funeral homes, senior centers, churches, fairs, farmers markets, etc to explain how Solas works and to grow awareness.
* Seeking out events across Dane County and establishing relationships with local groups to teach them about Solas and to generate sales.
* Build and maintain relationships with communities and neighbors.
* **Sales Reports**
* Completing weekly sales reports and sending weekly updates to the manager.
* Meetings with Management at least once a month to discuss sales, outreach, and events.
* Track expenses and use careful decision making to reduce costs and spending.
* **Burials**
* Be available onsite for all burials.
* Be present to monitor digging, instruct families during the burial, and follow up to ensure the sites are restored appropriately.
* Monitor inventory of caskets, shrouds, biers, and urns. Report sales to the manager and work with the manager to order new products and manage current inventory.
* Walk the site frequently and monitor areas for mowing, ensure trees are watered, keep track of landscape issues and coordinate cleaning.
* Other duties as assigned.

**Who you are:**

* Extremely organized and able to maintain records and manage paperwork.
* Self\-motivated and independent, comfortable working by yourself at events and with customers.
* Compassionate and kind to families experiencing grief.
* Passionate about the environment and able to learn about natural burial and then educate others on why it is the best option.
* Comfortable with the death process, able to view the deceased during burials (bodies are always covered in a shroud or casket) while maintaining a professional attitude.

Pay: $32\.00 \- $36\.00 per hour
