Funeral Apprentice

Part\-Time Bilingual Funeral Apprentice / Funeral Assistant **Ruggiero Family Memorial Home** is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional **bilingual English/Spanish Funeral Apprentice or Funeral Assistant** to join our team part\-time. This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in funeral service, currently attending or considering mortuary school, or someone with experience helping families in a professional setting. Schedule \& Pay **Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM** Additional hours may be available as needed. **$20 – $30 per hour**, based on experience. Responsibilities * Assist funeral directors with visitations, services, burials, and processions * Greet and assist families and guests with compassion and professionalism * Help Spanish\-speaking families with communication and translation when needed * Prepare the funeral home for services, including setup of flowers, memorial items, prayer cards, and service materials * Assist with removals, transfers, and other service\-related duties * Help maintain a clean, respectful, and organized environment * Answer phones and assist with general office duties as needed Qualifications * Bilingual in English and Spanish required * Professional appearance and strong communication skills * Compassionate, respectful, reliable, and punctual * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with physical tasks * Valid driver’s license preferred * Funeral home, hospitality, customer service, or caregiving experience is a plus * Funeral apprentice license or interest in funeral service preferred but not required Pay: $20\.00 \- $30\.33 per hour Benefits: * Professional development assistance * Referral program Language: * Spanish (Required) License/Certification: * Drivers License (Required) Ability to Commute: * Boston, MA 02128 (Required) Work Location: In person
