Your dedication will help create meaningful memorial experiences that honor loved ones and bring comfort to those left behind. **Responsibilities** * Collaborate closely with families to plan and customize funeral services that reflect their wishes and cultural traditions. * Manage all logistical aspects of funeral arrangements, including scheduling, transportation, and coordination with vendors. * Prepare the deceased with proper sanitation, cosmetology, and dissection techniques to ensure respectful presentation. * Oversee the embalming process, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining professionalism. * Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and resources to grieving families throughout their journey. * Conduct event planning for memorial services, viewings, and visitations to create a comforting environment. * Handle heavy lifting when necessary for transportation and setup of funeral equipment and caskets. * Maintain detailed records of all procedures, documentation, and client interactions in accordance with legal and organizational standards. * Work with individuals and families in preneed and at need arrangements. **Qualifications** * 5\+ years of experience as a funeral director * Knowledgable about Jewish funeral tradition * Valid licensure or certification as required by state or local regulations for funeral directing.
