Funeral Director-Location Manager

Rollings Funeral Service is hiringa Funeral Director/Location Manager in Ohio. Job Summary The Location Funeral Director oversee daily operations across multiple funeral home locations, ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role cultivates a strong, professional team culture, manages financial performance, and drives business growth while maintaining the highest standards of care for client families. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision • Oversee and develop all funeral home staff. • Foster an engaged, high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and career development. • Manage performance, compensation, and retention. • Partner with senior leadership to create and manage annual budgets and revenue goals. • Control costs, approve expenditures, and manage employee scheduling to maintain efficiency. • Align local strategies with corporate goals and maintain sound financial practices. Operations Management • Direct daily operations to ensure seamless services that exceed family expectations. • Enforce compliance with all regulations, policies, and standards. • Manage escalated client concerns with empathy and professionalism. • Maintain facilities and grounds to high standards. • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify improvements and implement change initiatives. • Represent the organization in community and civic activities to enhance brand presence. Funeral Services • Perform funeral director duties as needed with compassion, accuracy, and attention to detail. Required Skills & Abilities • Compassionate leadership with effective communication, organization, and customer service skills. • Solid understanding of funeral laws, operations, and documentation requirements. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, case management software, and regulatory systems. • Financial acumen with budgeting and reporting experience. • High integrity with the ability to pass background and credit checks. Education & Experience • High school diploma (required); degree in Mortuary Science (per-state requirements). • Licensed Funeral Director in accordance with state law. • 10+ years of progressive experience in the funeral industry, including 5+ years in leadership. • Budget and expense management experience preferred.
