Funeral Director

Funeral Director Full\-Time or Part\-Time \| Family\-Owned Funeral Home Lynch and Sons Funeral Home in Walled Lake is a family\-owned funeral home looking for a full or part\-time licensed Funeral Director (or Intern) who wants to join our team and help us provide exceptional funeral care to our community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with families, values professionalism and compassion, and wants to be part of a funeral home in a community with a strong mix of both traditional funerals, memorial services and immediate dispositions. What you’ll do: Work in all aspects of funeral service including but not limited to the following: * Making funeral arrangements * Coordinate and oversee services from first call through final disposition * Complete necessary documentation and permits * Assist with embalming, dressing, and preparation when needed * Work with clergy, churches, cemeteries, and suppliers * Help maintain the facilities and share housekeeping duties between services * Participate in an on\-call rotation What we’re looking for: * Licensed Funeral Director or Mortuary Science graduate eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan * Embalming experience not required but valued * Exceptional professionalism, communication and organizational skills * Someone who works well with a team * Must possess strong computer skills * Must have a positive attitude, be empathetic and highly self\-motivated * Someone who can take direction but can also work independently without it What we offer: * Family\-owned funeral home within a diverse community * Opportunity to learn and grow professionally * Competitive salary based on experience and skill set * Health benefits, retirement matching and paid time off * A team that values hard work, professionalism and exceptional service to others If you’re looking for a funeral home where you can grow professionally while making a real difference for families, we’d love to hear from you.
