Job Description

**Job Summary** Join our compassionate team as a Funeral Director, where you will lead the planning and coordination of funeral services with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. In this vital role, you will serve grieving families by guiding them through the entire process, ensuring that each service reflects their loved one’s life and wishes. Your expertise in physiology, anatomy, and bereavement support will help provide comfort and clarity during difficult times. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community while showcasing your skills in event planning, customer service, and funeral directing. **Duties** * Meet with families to discuss funeral arrangements, providing compassionate bereavement support and guidance throughout the process * Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including scheduling, transportation, and venue setup to ensure seamless ceremonies * Prepare and dress deceased individuals with care, utilizing cosmetology skills and knowledge of anatomy and dissection techniques * Oversee sanitation and hygiene standards within preparation areas to maintain a respectful environment * Manage administrative tasks such as documentation, permits, and legal requirements related to death certificates and transportation * Assist families with selecting caskets, urns, and memorial products while demonstrating sales skills to meet their needs * Lead or participate in community outreach efforts to educate the public about funeral services and grief support resources **Experience** * Prior experience in funeral directing or related fields such as mortuary science or bereavement counseling preferred * Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to handle body preparation with professionalism and respect * Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively during sensitive situations * Experience in event planning to organize funeral ceremonies that honor loved ones’ lives beautifully * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling caskets or equipment required for body preparation * Familiarity with sanitation protocols, cosmetology techniques for body dressing, and dissection procedures is advantageous * Demonstrated sales aptitude to assist families in selecting appropriate memorial options while maintaining ethical standards Join us in providing heartfelt support during life's most challenging moments.
