**Crematory Operator / Transportation Driver** **About Us:** We are currently seeking an experienced, well rounded, team oriented, and motivated individual to join the Paradise Memorial Crematory. We are family owned and operated and have been an important part of the community for over half a century. We are looking for a Licensed Crematory Operator, or aspiring to become a Licensed Crematory Operator to help carry on our strong values while serving families with the utmost dignity and respect. **Job Summary:** This is an entry level position that will begin with primarily transporting decedents safely and respectfully between establishments with the intention of cross training and also becoming a licensed Crematory Operator if not already. A crematory operator prepares and cremates human remains, managing the entire process from receiving the decedent into our care, preparing all the necessary paperwork and data entry, and returning the decedent to the funeral home to be reunited with their loved one. They operate, clean, and maintain the cremation machinery (retorts/cremulators) while adhering to strict safety, legal, and ethical regulations to ensure dignified, respectful handling. **Core Responsibilities:** * Facilitating transportation, picking them up from funeral establishments and bringing them into the crematory’s care. * Operate cremation equipment (cremators) to reduce remains to bone fragments and ash via heat. * Attention to Detail and Documentation: Verify identification, maintain detailed records, strict compliance to our processes and procedures while completing necessary paperwork, logs and data entry. * Excellent communication skills; highly organized; self\-starter. * Family Interaction: Facilitating witness cremations which allow family and friends to gather in our chapel allowing them to view the initial start of the cremation process, and provide compassionate support. * Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain the crematorium area, including floors, tools, and equipment. * Must be able bodied without lifting restrictions * Must be comfortable learning new software such as computer\-based system as well good working knowledge of Microsoft/Window based applications. * Must have a current valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Competitive wages based upon experience. Pay: $19\.00 \- $21\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
