Job Description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate, detail\-oriented Licensed Funeral Director and \ to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, provide exceptional bereavement support to families, and ensure that every service is conducted with dignity and professionalism. Your expertise in physiology, anatomy, and sanitation will be essential in preparing and handling remains with care and respect. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of grieving families while demonstrating strong event planning, customer service, and sales skills. **Duties**
* Coordinate and manage funeral services from initial arrangements to final disposition, ensuring all details align with family wishes and legal requirements
* Provide empathetic bereavement support, guiding families through the grieving process with sensitivity and understanding
* Prepare remains with proper dissection techniques, cosmetology skills, and sanitation standards to ensure respectful presentation
* Oversee heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in handling caskets, remains, and equipment safely and efficiently
* Plan and organize funeral events, including logistics, transportation, and coordination with vendors or clergy
* Conduct sales consultations for funeral packages, caskets, urns, or memorial products to assist families in making informed choices
* Maintain accurate records of all services performed, documentation related to dissection or anatomy procedures, and sanitation protocols
**Experience**
* Valid licensure as a Funeral Director and embalmer in accordance with state or regional regulations
* Proven experience in funeral directing with a strong understanding of physiology and human anatomy
* Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate bereavement support tailored to diverse family needs
* Skilled in event planning with attention to detail for funeral ceremonies and related activities
* Knowledge of sanitation practices essential for maintaining hygienic standards in handling remains and equipment
* Experience in cosmetology or dissection techniques preferred but not required; training provided if necessary
* Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
* Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on clear communication and empathetic listening
* Sales experience related to funeral products or services is advantageous
