**Overview** Join our compassionate team as a Licensed Funeral Director/Manager, where you will play a vital role in guiding families through one of life's most sensitive moments. This dynamic position combines leadership, meticulous planning, and heartfelt support to ensure each funeral service is handled with dignity, professionalism, and personalized care. As a Licensed Funeral Director/Manager, you will oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, coordinate logistics, and provide bereavement support to families during their time of need. Your expertise will help create meaningful experiences that honor loved ones and bring comfort to grieving families. **Responsibilities** * Lead and coordinate funeral services from initial consultation to final disposition, ensuring all arrangements meet legal and company standards. * Provide compassionate bereavement support and guidance to grieving families, helping them navigate difficult decisions with empathy and clarity. * Manage the preparation of bodies, including sanitation, cosmetology, dissection (as needed), and ensuring proper handling in accordance with health regulations. * Oversee event planning for funerals, memorials, and other services, including logistics, transportation, and coordination with vendors. * Supervise staff involved in funeral service operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. * Maintain detailed records of all arrangements, legal documentation, and service details for compliance and future reference. * Promote sales of funeral merchandise and pre\-arranged services while providing excellent customer service that builds trust and loyalty. **Requirements** * Valid state licensure as a Funeral Director/Manager with active certification. * Proven experience in funeral directing, event planning, and customer service within a funeral home setting. * Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to ensure respectful handling of remains. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transporting caskets or equipment. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to offer sensitive bereavement support effectively. * Familiarity with sanitation standards, cosmetology techniques for body preparation, and dissection procedures as applicable. * Skills in sales strategies related to funeral merchandise and pre\-arranged services are highly desirable.
