Mortuary & Crematory Assistant

**Job Overview:** We are a respected Mortuary and Crematory located in Sachse, TX seeking a dependable and professional Removal Technician to join our team on a part\-time, temporary 6\-month contract basis, with the potential opportunity for full\-time employment after the contract period. This position is a great opportunity for mortuary students or individuals interested in starting a career in the funeral service industry. No prior experience is required — all newly hired team members receive hands\-on, in\-house training from our licensed funeral and crematory staff. The Removal Technician will assist with the care, transfer, and transportation of decedents throughout the DFW area while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and respect for the families we serve. **Responsibilities Include:** * Removal and transportation of decedents throughout the DFW area * Completing required documentation and paperwork accurately * Computer data entry and administrative support * Answering phones and assisting with family and service inquiries * Cleaning and maintaining the facility * Assisting licensed staff in the cremation process * Participating in scheduled on\-call shifts **Requirements:** * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Ability to pass a background check * Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver a minimum of 100 lbs * Strong punctuality and time management skills * Professional appearance and compassionate demeanor * Availability to work on\-call shifts **What We Offer:** * Paid hands\-on training by licensed professionals * Valuable experience in the funeral and cremation industry * Overtime opportunities available * Flexible part\-time schedule * Potential for full\-time employment after the initial 6\-month contract period This opportunity is especially ideal for mortuary science students, and we are specifically looking to connect with current mortuary students who are interested in gaining hands\-on experience in the funeral service profession.
