Mortuary Transport Driver

**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mortuary Transport Driver to join our compassionate team. This position offers an opportunity to serve the community while working in a respectful and team\-oriented environment. **Responsibilities** * Safely operate vehicles such as shuttle vans, limousines, or specialized mortuary transport trucks to transfer deceased individuals between locations. * Ensure proper handling and secure transportation of bodies, adhering to all safety and health regulations. * Communicate effectively with funeral homes, hospitals, law enforcement, and other stakeholders regarding transport schedules and procedures. * Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee safe operation at all times. * Assist with loading and unloading bodies with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, following proper protocols. * Maintain accurate documentation of transport logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports. * Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality throughout all interactions. **Qualifications** * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly desirable. * Experience in commercial driving or heavy vehicle operation preferred; familiarity with paratransit or school bus driving is a plus. * Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and external partners. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks consistently. * Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure operational readiness. * Excellent customer service skills with a respectful approach when interacting with families and colleagues. * Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow detailed procedures accurately.
