Mortuary Transport Driver

**Job Title: Mortuary Transporter (Weekend Position)** **Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mortuary Transporter to join our team. The Mortuary Transporter plays a critical role in ensuring the respectful and timely transportation of deceased individuals to various locations, including funeral homes and medical facilities. This position requires a reliable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care. **This role is specifically for weekend shifts, including day, afternoon, evening, and overnight availability.** **Requirements** * Must be **21 years of age or older** * Must have **reliable transportation to and from work** * Must possess a **valid Oklahoma driver’s license** * Must be able to obtain and provide an **MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) upon hiring** * Ability to perform heavy lifting and meet physical demands of the role * Dress code required **Responsibilities** * Safely remove and transport deceased individuals from hospitals, residences, or other locations to designated facilities * Perform removals from private residences, hospitals, and other locations with professionalism and care * Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles * Assist with loading and unloading remains, ensuring dignity and respect at all times * Complete required documentation for each transport in compliance with legal and regulatory standards * Communicate professionally with funeral home staff, medical personnel, and family members when necessary * Follow all safety protocols during lifting, transport, and handling procedures * Maintain professionalism while driving in various environments and conditions **Skills \& Qualifications** * **Funeral industry experience preferred** * Experience as a van, delivery, shuttle, or similar driver preferred * Knowledge of safe driving practices and applicable transportation regulations * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping * Compassionate communication skills and ability to interact respectfully in sensitive situations Job Type: Part\-time Pay: From $16\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On\-the\-job training * Paid training People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
