New York State Licensed Funeral Director

Seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail\-oriented **New York State Licensed Funeral Director** to join our team. Family\-owned with over 130 years of service in our community. Key Responsibilities * Meet with families to discuss and plan funeral arrangements – both preneed and at\-need * Prepare and file required documentation in compliance with NYS law and company policy * Coordinate with cemeteries, crematoriums, clergy, and other third\-party service providers * Perform embalming and body preparation as needed in accordance with NYS regulations * Oversee the transportation, transfer, and care of human remains * Arrange and direct funeral and memorial services, visitations, and graveside ceremonies * Manage pre\-need arrangements and ensure compliance with NYS pre\-need regulations * Support facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations and company policy Required Qualifications * Active New York State Funeral Director license in good standing * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Physical ability to lift and move human remains with appropriate equipment * Proficiency in basic computer applications and funeral home management software * Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be on\-call as required *Current schedule provides every other weekend off, 1 on\-call seven out of 42 days; 2 on\-call five out of 42 days; one five\-day weekend every six weeks* What We Offer * Competitive salary commensurate with experience * Company Sponsored Health Insurance * Paid time off and holiday pay * Continuing education and license renewal support * A respectful, supportive, and professional work environmen Pay: $50,000\.00 \- $74,999\.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
