Operations Specialist - Pet Crematory focus (M-Th, 7 am - 5 pm)

**Overview** Join our dedicated team as an Operations Specialist, working Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 5 pm. Your duties will be focused in the crematory, but may vary from day to day to include some of the other duties listed below. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth and respectful operation of Forever Friends, providing compassionate service to pet owners during difficult times. You will be essential in maintaining efficient processes, while your attention to detail and professionalism will uphold the dignity of our services. *Working environment: Position may be exposed to hot working conditions, above\-average noise level and other conditions related to deceased pet remains.* **Duties** * Performs cremations according to family wishes and company process/policy. * Engraves urns and other keepsakes. * Transfers pets from the place of death to Forever Friends and returns memorial packages from Forever Friends to private residences, ensuring all documentation is complete. * Maintains appropriate chain of custody documentation, ensuring accurate identification and tracking of remains while in company care. * Follows quality control process to ensure 100% accuracy in our products and services. * Demonstrates exceptional care and respect for every pet in our care and family we serve. * Operates and maintains engraving and cremation equipment. * Completes all required documentation with respect to the cremation process and equipment maintenance. * Ensures the work area is tidy, clean, and organized. * Follows safety protocols and codes of conduct as set forth by the company. * Meets all deadlines. * Participates in staff meetings and offers suggestions to improve family satisfaction, product and service offerings and profitability of the company. * Performs additional duties as assigned. **Qualifications** * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for long periods of time to operate equipment as part of daily duties * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for recordkeeping and process adherence * Good driving record and ability to be insured under company policy * Excellent communication skills for interacting compassionately with pet owners and professionally with team members * Must be self\-motivated with excellent time management * Possesses the highest degree of integrity and can provide caring, empathetic, service to client families and respect for every pet in our care.
