Resident Funeral Director

We are seeking a dedicated New York State Funeral Director Resident to join our team and complete their residency requirements while gaining meaningful, hands\-on experience in all aspects of funeral service. **Position Overview:**The Funeral Director Resident will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Funeral Director and will be involved in all facets of funeral operations, including arrangements, removals, embalming, services, and administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow in a supportive, professional environment. **Responsibilities:** * Assist with making funeral arrangements with families * Coordinate and direct funeral and memorial services * Perform removals and transfers * Assist with embalming and preparation * Complete required NYS residency documentation and reports * Maintain professionalism and compassion in all family interactions * Participate in on\-call rotation as needed * May include cleaning cars, rudimentary tasks * Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment. **Qualifications:** * Current NYS Funeral Director Resident or ready to register as licensed resident. * Graduate of an accredited Mortuary Science program * Valid NYS driver’s license with clean driving record * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Professional appearance and demeanor required, business attire or business casual expected * Ability to lift 75\+ lbs and work evenings/weekends/ and participate in on\-call rotation **What We Offer:** * Competitive compensation * Supportive mentorship and hands\-on training * Opportunity for long\-term employment upon licensure * Professional, team\-oriented work environment * Housing option available (residency apartment may be provided) If you are compassionate, detail\-oriented, and committed to serving families during meaningful moments, we encourage you to apply.
