**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident NYS Funeral Director to join our family owned and operated team. As a Resident NYS Funeral Director, you will be instrumental in providing support to grieving families while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, cosmetology, and funeral directing practices. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate and oversee funeral services from initial arrangements to final disposition, ensuring all aspects meet legal and ethical standards. * Provide bereavement support to families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the funeral process. * Prepare bodies for viewing, including embalming, dressing, cosmetology, and sanitation procedures, adhering strictly to health regulations. * Manage heavy lifting of caskets, body transportation, and equipment safely and efficiently. * Plan and organize memorial events or services in collaboration with families, including logistics and coordination with vendors or clergy. * Maintain detailed records of all procedures, documentation, and compliance with state regulations for funeral directing licenses. **Requirements** * Valid Resident NYS Funeral Director license with active certification in New York State. * Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to ensure proper handling of remains. * Experience in funeral directing with a focus on customer service excellence. * Knowledge of sanitation standards, cosmetology techniques for body preparation, and disinfection protocols. * Skilled in event planning to coordinate memorial services seamlessly. * Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods. * Experience providing bereavement support with sensitivity and professionalism. * Join our team to make a meaningful difference during life's most challenging moments!
